Hao Ya is one of the finest grades of Keemun tea from the mountainous Anhui Province in China. It has a thin, wiry, tightly twisted leaf with a slightly smoky flavor and aroma. Excellent straight or with milk and sugar.

Tasting Notes:Violet, macadamia nut, leather

For best flavor, bring spring or freshly drawn filtered water to a boil (212 degrees). Steep 1 rounded tsp (3 g) for five minutes. Smell smoke? It's probably just the tea.

Keemun Hao Ya has a very thin, wiry and tightly twisted leaf that is black with grey hues. This brings a unique, slightly smoky flavor and aroma that reminds us of camping on the Oregon coast. A great self drinking tea, tasty neat or with milk and sugar.
